When we’re celebrating a holiday or having a special event at KidWorks, it’s a good bet that AmWest Funding Corp. is right alongside us, putting smiles on the faces of our students.
This locally owned corporation has provided volunteers and donations in support of events such as our Christmas store for families, the Thanksgiving feast for those we serve, Read Across America Week and spring break activities.
For the Christmas store, AmWest Funding Corp. employees donated and wrapped gifts.
Founded in 1995, AmWest Funding Corp. is a lender and servicer of mortgage and residential loans. Its corporate offices are in Brea, CA.
“AmWest Funding Corp. employees have been a wonderful addition to our volunteer team,” says Rachel Cervantes,” our Volunteer Coordinator. “They are so organized, generous, and kind. Every event they’ve been a part of has been better because of their participation.”
AmWest Funding Corp. has partnered with KidWorks since November 2022, starting with our Thanksgiving event.
“They served food to our students and made the process quick and efficient,” Rachel says. “Their warm, welcoming attitudes were perfectly suited for the holiday. They even joined in to dance after the feast and helped us to clean up, too.”
The AmWest Funding Corp./KidWorks connection really took off after the daughter of one of AmWest Funding Corp.’s proprietors began volunteering at KidWorks as a workshop leader.
That led Benjamin Lou, Human Resources Generalist at AmWest Funding Corp., to reach out to us to ask how they could become even more involved.
“AmWest Funding Corp. encourages and supports volunteering by always providing AmWest Funding Corp. employees with the opportunity first,” Benjamin says. “We emphasize the value of giving back to our local communities, as well as encouraging new causes to support.”
Rachel thanked Benjamin for the ways he connects AmWest Funding Corp. employees with KidWorks.
“Benjamin has been so kind and a pleasure to work with,” Rachel says. “He’s the link that brings AmWest Funding Corp. employees to KidWorks. We appreciate his swift communications and steadfast leadership.”
We are grateful to AmWest Funding Corp. for being such a valued partner with KidWorks in so many ways.
